. The Iraq bank note is worth 10000 Dinars of authentic Iraq currency.
These banknotes make for excellent collectors' items.
The Iraqi money and demonetized 2008 Zimbabwe bank note the buyer will receive will be indistinguishable from the notes pictured here. They may or may not be the same notes used in the photographs. The IQD note the buyer will receive has been certified as authentic.
Iraq currency has been very difficult to obtain from any licensed dealer, currency exchange, bank or financial institution. Conspicuously, all of the businesses that specialized in Iraq Dinar sales discontinued selling IQD in late spring and early summer. They still buy, but none are selling at present nor have for several months.
One company still allows customers to place orders, but they do not fill the orders nor inform would-be customers that they have no intention to fill the order, angering thousands of customers who had to demand a refund after weeks or months of no shipment and no phone call or email, leading some to speculate that the employees and executives at this company and possibly others are not being entirely truthful in the excuses they offer for why they will not ship IQD.
So for collectors, the question becomes whether to purchase these in-demand banknotes now through eBay before prices go up even more, or hope that companies whose employees stopped caring months ago and which appear to have no desire to provide customer service knowingly angering customers will someday start selling IQD once again. This flurry of activity that has now been condensed to just Ebay (for Iraqi money) may be the final window-of-opportunity for collectors to purchase these notes before Iraq changes to a new currency or remunerates the Dinar, driving up the price for the 2003-2020 IQD even higher.
