1873 Charleston, South Carolina Rail Road Company tickets (3 fare tickets)

From Charleston and printed in 1873.South Carolina Rail Road Company --. 1873. With green tint on the face and a green security back. Uncirculated;
These were actually good for a passenger fare of 25 miles.
These were called fare tickets, in all likelihood to circumvent federal laws forbidding the circulation of paper money issued by private concerns. Several railroads, particularly in the South, took this approach.  Great piece of history.
