    Description

For sale is a unique collection of Philadelphia Prohibition related newspaper clippings contained in a scrapbook. Many of the articles are from the Bulletin and Inquirer newspapers and deal with the padlocking of bars and other places. Other pieces deal with Prohibition legal and political matters. Many of the articles are really interesting. The scrapbook is 134 pages with a large number of articles. The book is in good condition with expected age wear. It measures 12" x 10". Also included are two booklets - Padlocking Procedure - A Federal Outline and Report of Alcohol Permit Board (1929). A great look at the Prohibition scene in Philadelphia during the 1920's.
