    1870-1890's First National Bank of Cooperstown, New York Checks
    Four different neat old First National Bank of Cooperstown, New York Checks (three of which depict the Leather Stocking Statue - Natty Bumpo, his Gun, and his Dog) from 1870's to 1890's, with neat vignettes, and 3 different printed tax stamps and one with rubber stamp cancellation.  Cooperstown was the site where the game of baseball was invented and first played, and home of the Baseball Hall of Fame.  These checks have all been cut cancelled.  All of them are in decent condition (XF or better).  Cooperstown, New York was named after the Cooper Family, settlers.  James Fenimore Cooper (1789-1851) was America's first major novelist, and author of "The Leather Stocking Tales".
