    Description

I have 4 different items in Burmese Red Lacquer up for sale.  This is #2 of 4
This is a medium-size serving bowl or "water bowl".  Its about 7.5 inches in diameter with a 5.5-inch diameter opening and about 1 3/4 inches tall.   Made from wood, hand-made and hand-lacquered with traditional red, black, and a little green and yellow. A "proud chicken" is the prominent decoration on the bottom side and there are 10 seated figures around the circular side. It has no damage but there are a few small cracks in the interior. I found one small chip in the finish which is not noticable.
My family lived in Burma in the 1970's so its at least that old, but most likely much older. I think we used it as a nut or candy dish!  Please see all the pictures!
