Description

One (1) a
ntique to vintage Burmese yun (incised) lacquer document holder.  Wood cylinder with removable cap covered in lacquer.  Intricate incised details with three different colors- red, yellow and black.  Used to hold important documents or petitions to be presented to officials.  1900-1950's.  Good condition- minor wear, many chips to lacquer and inside rim has been glued (see picture #9).  Some paint smudges (see picture #4).  Measures 15 3/4 inches long and 2 5/8 inches wide.  See my other Burmese lacquer pieces and Chinese and Japanese antiques.  Shipping will be by Priority Mail-.65 including insurance.  Shipping price is calculated from California to the East Coast.  If shipping is lower you will be refunded the difference (if more than one dollar).
