Reel played good in projector. This is a Black and White standard 8mm film. Some vinegar smell but no warping of Film. Film is about 13 minutes long
Film jumps around to a lot of different scenes but I’ll do my best to describe it. There was an old piece of paper in the film can that has a summary of the film. The piece of paper is in the listing photos.
Film shows in the following order:
People standing around in front of some buildings talking, people loading wood into a boat, a person paddling a rowboat, footage of a dock with wood on it, footage of birds, footage of people standing in front of stacks of wood, people working on a large machine that turns in circles outside, people standing in front of stacks of wood, footage of people standing in front of a boat, a boat in the water, an airplane flying in the sky, people riding on the boat on the river,people pushing a cart with boxes that say “Speirs Parnell Bread”, A building that reads Hudson‘s Bay Company, people gathered in front of a house, footage of the Hudson‘s Bay Company building and other buildings and people working around the buildings, footage of people riding on a cart on a rail heading out toward a boat dock, footage of people in a canoe, people on a boat dock, boats in the water, riding on a boat down the river, footage of the shoreline, people on a boat dock the boarding the boat, people on the shore having a picnic, crowds gathered around the edge of the water with a town in the background, people sitting down resting, an airplane approaching a boat in the water, the airplane is a float plane, footage of people approaching the boat dock, it appears the boat is going down the river and picking people up at various stops, footage of the shore while riding in a boat, Passing a large boat, people gathered in the woods around an old cabin, footage of several small town buildings, people riding on a rail that is pulled by a horse. This is a rail track that has a passenger car and the horse is pulling the passenger car with people on it through the words, footage of people on canoes in the river (River has dense fog or smoke..not sure which one), people gathered on the ground, people on a large boat with smaller boats attached to the side of the boat, footage of people and tents on the ground, footage of a large boat near the shore, footage of people on the deck of the boat.
The last 60 seconds is shot in a city. Up to this point, the picture was good but this last 60 seconds has some overexposure on a couple scenes. The remaining 60 seconds shows footage of a dog on a city street (there is a Coca-Cola sign in the background), a truck driving on the road loaded with wood, footage inside a downtown area showing a building with the words Canadian pacific on it, royal Alexandria hotel, a sign that reads cash prices for hides on a building storefront, a trolley with cars in the background, people on a city street next to a train, a sign that reads Femco farms world record Holsteins.
