Very Fine Burma Burmese Gilt Lacquer Shan Statue of the Buddha ca. first Half 19th century. The Buddha is beautifully rendered with serene face , closed eyes wearing a monks robe, it is a very beautiful example of the Shan art of Burma. The statue measures 30 X 16 x 12 1/2 inches missing Unisha with surface age wear as expected overall good condition as seen in the images. From an old Virginia collection acquired in the 1970-1980's.
