Description
If you remember Sid and Marty Krofft's "Sigmund and the Sea-monsters" or "HR Pufnstuff" as some of the most offbeat Shows on 60's era TV, then boy do we have something for you. Up for auction is a souvenir program book titled Les Poupees de Paris (The Dolls of Paris), featuring Risqué puppets doing very un-puppet like things and that served as the basis for all that followed later. This Adults Only show was quite the hit at the time in 1962. Our 10+ page, glossy-looking mag has background info, photos and puppeteer bios of the show. There's a great set of shots featuring African-American puppets, horror and phantasm too! As you can see by the images, all pages are stapled securely to the cover. They are clean and bright looking with eye-popping colors and graphics and virtually no wear at all. Examine the cover and you can see the front remains clean and bright with only a few micro creases along the spine and a bit of rounding on the corners. The reverse has nice coloring with a bit of light scuff that only appears if you tilt the back at a particular angle. This too has some lightly rounded corners. Apparently this souvenir comes up only rarely and then not in this kind of condition. Overall, it's a great piece of Entertainment ephemera, especially for a low start and no reserve. We have a few more vintage pamphlets, programs, magazines and ephemera that we are currently running on Ebay, so please check out our other auctions. Winning ticket holder to pay US postage and insurance. Overseas winners will be emailed with shipping rates. We will also combine shipping for winners of multiple lots.
