    Description

    Effanbee Kewpie Doll!  Poodle Skirt
    This doll is in great condition.  She's had very little human interaction.  Complete with COA and original box!
    Approx 12" - 2001 model. The skirt has a cute poodle with collar and diamonds.  Her shoes are traditional black and white saddle shoes.  As cute as cute can be!
    This Kewpie is certified created from original molds and has been approved in every detial by Jesco, exclusive license holder of the Kewpie trademark and copyright.

    "In 1949, Effanbee created the first hard vinyl versions of the popular Kewpie.  The rompers on this new generation of collector's quality dolls are based on those worn by the original Effanbee Kewpies.  To further celebrate this 50th anniversary, Effanbee has also designed a party dress befitting this beautiful and timeless creation.
    Few dolls have made an impact on American life to rival that of the famous Kewpie.  Created in 1909 by Rose O'Neill, a remarkable turn-of-the-century illustrator and artist, Kewpie first appeared as magazine illustrations and in advertisements.  Its greatest impact was achieved with the introduction of porcelain bisque dolls and figurines which were produced in Germany."
