Very recently, I picked up some photos and film from an estate sale.  Included in one of the picture packets was an old 8mm film. It seems to be in great shape. On the hand written paper inside the canister, it said "JFK Mexico City" among other things. So, I scanned the entire reel even though the JFK section was pretty short. I don't want any bidders to not realize the JFK parade section is fairly short. The whole reel was about 7". The vast majority of the reel is family footage that is entirely unrelated to JFK.
I am not selling the scans of the reel. I am selling the original reel and will include a copy of the scan for the buyer if they want it.  My equipment is not professional, but the footage still came out pretty good.
No copies of the scans, the film or still shots will be sold or given to anyone other than the buyer.
The entire JFK & Mateos parade footage is about one minute and a half.
Obviously, the footage of Kennedy riding with President Mateos is only as long as it took them to drive by. Followed by JFK is Jackie Onassis waving from a vehicle. But, the person with this camera had a great vantage point. The parade took place on June 29, 1962.
The rest of the footage is a family (of NO relation to JFK) on several different vacations.
I feel like the value of this item lies in the fact that it is exclusive.  No one else has it. As such, there will be no returns accepted as I can't be sure that it wasn't copied and/or duplicated in some way. No returns.
I do not have a best offer or buy it now price set for this item. If you ask me, I will know that you did not read the description. :-) I have absolutely no idea what value this reel has, if any. So, bid no more than you are comfortable paying for it.
