This is a rare autographed souvenir program from the two-week, Summer Stock engagement of the RICHARD RODGERS and OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II musical comedy "OKLAHOMA!" at the Melody Top Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. (The production opened September 2nd, 1969 and ran for two weeks, closing September 14th, 1969.) ..... The musical starred JOHN RAITT (who signed his bio page) and featured LINDA MICHELE, CANDACE TOVAR, CLYDE LAURENTS, BARBARA CROUCH, ZALE KESSLER, DENNIS DOHMAN, DICK ENSSLEN, LARRY TAYLOR, MARY McCUTCHEON, RALPH BRAUN, TEDD CARRERE, JUDY BLASI and SALLY RIGGS ..... CREDITS: Music by RICHARD RODGERS; Book and Lyrics by OSCAR HAMMERSTEIN II based on the play "Green Grow the Lilacs" by LYNN RIGGS. ("Oklahoma!" was the first collaboration for Rodgers and Hammerstein who would go on to write "Carousel", "The King and I", "South Pacific", "Flower Drum Song" and "The Sound of Music" among others); Sets and Costumes designed by STUART BISHOP; Dances Staged by JAMES SMOCK; Directed by STUART BISHOP; Produced by MILWAUKEE MELODY TOP THEATRE CORPORATION ..... CONDITION: With the exception of minor edge wear, this program is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian.
