Large Fossil Cretaceous Texigryphaea pitcheri oyster - New Mexico 04

Description

This is a specimen of Texigryphaea pitcheri collected from the lower Cretaceous Tucumcari formation in Quay Co, New Mexico.
It has both valves, which do not come apart, and measures 3.5" long.
