Leica Leitz  Film Cassettes- (lot of 20) : 16-FILCA & 4-LXMOO + 13 Canisters

Description

16 brass Leica film canisters- 12 of them are the IXMOO version (in the main image those are the ones laying down) which fit in either the M or Screw mount Leica bodies. The other 4 (pictured standing up) are the FILCA version which will fit in only screw mount bodies. There is a slight size difference between he two versions (the FILCA being slightly taller), and as well, as can be seen in the last image, the IXMOOs have a notch in on the bottom as well as different writing.
Images 2,3, and 4 show the 16 IXMOO versions.
Images 6,7, and 8 show the 4 FILCA versions.
All are fully functioning and in various stages of patina- (these can be polished up if you wish or left as is- I consider the patina quite beautiful).
One of the FILCA cassettes is missing the interior spool and as can be seen 2 of them have some engraving on them.
Also included in the auction are 13 canisters to house the cassettes  (image number 5) - 11 of them are bakelite and 2 of them aluminum. Pictures #9 and 10 show the differences and are also the ones with the most wear to them- the rest are in very nice vintage shape.
These are great if you will be using them to bulk load your film as their design prevents the film from touching anything during the loading process, thus avoiding scratches. When they are in the camera they add a noticeable weight to your camera as well.
