Lot of SIX (6) 400 Ft Reels (7-Inch), Approximately 30 Minutes Each (Except Last One)
Exact items shown. I originally listed the first reel before I discovered there was a whole set of them mixed in with other films I'm currently sorting through. I only watched parts of the reel (my projector isn't the best, and I didn't want to push my luck).
On this first reel, it starts out with black and white, then switches to color after about 120 feet. The remainder of this reel, and all the others, are in color. They are sequentially lettered, A through F. Each film has a leader.
Each reel is a 400-ft, 7" diameter metal reel. All are regular 8mm. NO SUPER-8.
All reels are fairly full except the last one, which only has about 120 feet on it.
I am not good at recognizing cars/years. Several times they show their vehicle (and others), and I'd guess early 1950's. On this first reel, the family is shown opening Christmas gifts (one child wearing a Howdy Doody shirt or pj's, and he gets a gun and holster set). Some summer scenes, beach, bike riding, possibly a zoo or animal park, and other things. A 2nd Christmas shows up later, and the kids look just a little bigger, so this reel covers at least a full year.
As I said, I only viewed parts of the first reel. I did not view any of the others, so I have no idea whats on them.
First one in clear plastic can, with scuffing and a 1 1/2" break on one edge. The others are in metal cans. Total weight almost 6 1/2 pounds.
