Description
This is a 3.5" x 3" x 1.5" very large mollusk fossil of the species Pycnodonte found near Tupelo, Mississippi from a Cretaceous age 80 million year old chalk formation. The shell includes both sides with the smaller side being convex and fitting into the larger side. Excellent preservation of a very large mollusk fossil.
