Offered for your consideration is this Rare Museum Quality Antique #153 Original Condition Rullman Brothers Hand Operated Square Tub Washing Machine. This washer was manufactured in the late 1800's in St. Joseph, Missouri by the Rullman Bros. Manufacturing Company & it is in amazing original condition with no painting or restoration to the original stencils etc. It has a single cone inside the galvanized vacuum tub with 2 different ways to agitate the clothes...either by using the round cast iron wheel or by using the wooden stick with a back and forth motion. We have seen the round zinc tub washing machines before, but have never had the square tub machine like this style...truly a collector's dream for its unrestored condition...yet.... it is in very clean condition! These early primitive washers were a blessing to the pioneer woman, who could graduate from the hand wooden washboard technique to this new invention with all its attachments, bells & whistles. This machine has the original wringer that still retains all the ink printing on it & also features the Improved Guide Board and the Pagoma Shield of Quality and states Roles Are Guaranteed For 3 Years In Family Use. The base itself measures approx. 21-3/4" wide x 21-1/2" deep x 28-1/2" high. Entire machine with attachments, etc. measures approx. 32" wide x 32" deep x 45-1/4" high. The foot spread is 21-3/4" apart outside measure.
