    Description

    R-19 Aircraft Receiver was part of the postwar ARC-12 family of units that replaced the command sets. This one covers 118-148 MHz which includes the amateur 2m band. Like the ARC-5s, these were popular among ham radio operators and so uncut examples are a rare find today. As you can see, this one was a USN unit and has the acceptance stamp and a 1955 date on it. This one appears to be pretty clean and would likely make a good restoration candidate or an excellent display. Note that the tube compartment cover is not original to this set. (It was from an R-13 and was perhaps mixed up on a service bench at one time.)
