This is a rare 1963 souvenir program commemorating the year of preparation for the 1964 inauguration of the Repertory Theater of Lincoln Center. Accordingly, the book is entitled: Prologue: 1963.
Documented by more than 50 black and white photos. Includes: photos of directors Elia Kazan and Robert Whitehead, four pages of photos of the Vivian Beaumont and the ANTA Washington Square theatres under construction, photos of inaugural year playwrights Arthur Miller, Eugene O'Neill and S. N. Behrman, ten rehearsal photos from "After The Fall" (including Salome Jens, Jason Robards, Zohra Lampert) and five from Marco Millions." (Including Lampert and Hal Holbrook)
32 pages, 8 1/4 x 11 inches. In excellent condition, with
a small sticker affixed to bottom corner of back cover, next to spine.
