    PERIOD WITNESS ID'd ON THE REVERSE:
    Old Murphy Store, Courthouse and
    jail. Billy the Kid shot Ollinger
    (Sheriff Pat Garrett’s Deputy)
    from the rear upstairs windows, and
    the front upstairs window Is the one
    he used to sit at
    (confined in)
    when imprisoned.
    The lower front room was Murphy’s
    office and the upper his bedroom.  This
    house is said to be haunted by
    Murphy’s Ghost.

    INCLUDES SOME VARIOUS PERIOD REFERENCE NUMBERS ON THE REVERSE IN PEN AND PENCIL.
    SHARP FOCUS WITH VERY GOOD CONTRAST WITH SMALL VERTICAL PHOTOGRAPHIC ARTIFACT ON THE LOWER BOTTOM LEFT.
    CONDITION IS EXTREMELY FINE WITH PERIOD ALBUM RESIDUE SPOTS OVER THE WITNESS ID ON THE REVERSE AND VERY LIGHT HANDLING FROM ITS 100 + YEARS.

    Patrick Floyd Jarvis Garrett
    (b.1850 - d.1908) was an American Old West lawman, bartender and customs agent known for killing Billy the Kid. He was the sheriff of Lincoln County, New Mexico, as well as Doña Ana County, New Mexico.
