SS UNITED STATES LINES Insignia Stateroom Carafe / Mid-Century / No Dents

This is a beautiful, mid-century chrome carafe with lucite handle from "The S.S. United States Liner". Condition...is the main selling point of all my SS United States items. The condition of this high quality carafe is top shelf, and appears to have been seldom used. As always, buyers satisfaction guaranteed by me. This carafe was engineered for hot and cold beverages, having a double-wall, vacuum sealed glass liner inside. This is a great piece of Americana to use at the breakfast table for keeping coffee steaming hot and juices icee cold. The SSUS eagle logo is crisp, front and center. The chrome body, chrome stopper, lucite handle, and glass liner are intact and top condition. This is the later style carafe used on the SSUS from 1956 - 1969. There are NO dents or dings. Unlike the nice condition of this carafe, most SSUS stateroom carafes were heavily used and in very poor condition by the time the "SS United States Liner" was taken out of service in 1969. This carafe measures over 9" tall, and was originally manufactured by...'The American Thermos Bottle Company', of Norwich, Conn. Wine invitation card included.These items were purchased at the 1984 SSUS at auction in Norfolk, Virginia.
