CONTENT:  The majority of the film is an American family living in Spokane, Washington in the late 1950's / early 1960's. They are a pretty funny bunch, always making crazy faces at the camera. The film starts out at Christmas and the family is opening presents. Everyone is watching grandma as she opens a gift and it is a revealing negligee! She has this look of bewilderment on her face as grandpa shows lots of interest. Lots of cool gifts like a large ceramic cookie jar and more.
This family loves animals and great grandma has a Pomeranian puppy and grandma has a black poodle that does tricks. There is also a fluffy black cat and a Siamese cat. Lots of women in the kitchen cooking and grandpa is making gravy when the cute grandson come and dips his finger in it. Then he starts fighting with another niy his age.
Grandma stops at Spokane Furniture with J.C. Penney across the street. Then they go to the Lilac Parade.
The parade runs from 26:21 to 35:06 so almost ten minutes of awesome downtown Spokane footage. Here are some of the floats that I made note of:
Cowboys on prancing horses in front of a Coke sign
    Moses High School Band
    Tonasket High School Band
    Mead High School Band
    Connell High School Band
    Stealth High School Band
    Top-Hi Band from Toppenish, Washington
    Coulee Dam, Washington Band
    Spokane Community College float
    Cheerleaders
    Airforce and Army marching bands
    Military trucks
    Nurses in uniform
Kennewick Lions marching band with a huge 10' tall drum
    Conestoga Wagons
Shell station sign across the street
    Woman in UFO float
    Beauty Queen floats
One was even from Priest River, Idaho
Lots more amazing floats with flowers and local businesses acknowledged
This is a grest piece of history for anyone from these highschools and especially from Spokane, Washington
