Here is a vintage, circa 1930s-40s, wood button with a hand painted, folk art, Pennsylvania Dutch style design. Buttons like this  were made in The Czech Republic, Germany, and Italy during this time, but this larger size is harder to find.  It has a broad self shank.  It measures 1-3/8" in diameter; NBS size large. It is in excellent.  A useful material button with a pleasing design!
