Vintage Sterling Marcasite Carved Shell Cameo Pendant Brooch

Multifunctional piece as you can wear as either a brooch pin or a necklace pendant! The cameo is set into an oval sterling frame with inlaid marcasites which line the edge. There’s a flexible bale at the top to thread a chain through if you choose to wear as a pendant. The profile features a woman with curly hair and a flower in it. Minor wear and some tarnish. Marked sterling on the back although it’s hard to see, age related wear has caused rubbing on the lettering. Overall good vintage condition. Very elegant piece!
